Showbiz Central celebrated GMA Artist Center's 7th Anniversary yesterday, and rated 10.4. While Buzz had an exclusive interview with Angel Locsin, and rated 19.2! Not really a good number for GMA 7. (Source: PinoyExchange)
Personally, GMA Artist Center could have had a more glamourous celebration than having it on Broadway, worst in Showbiz Central. SC is an entertainment-news show and NOT a trying-hard-variety show. I am disappointed with ALL of the production numbers. Poorly prepared. Poorly executed. Poorly directed. If they have decided to celebrate GMAAC's 7th Anniversary, then Showbiz Central could have news'ed about the 'status' and 'achievements' of their artists over the past years and what is in-store for them. That could have been better than watching their artists look like stupid with their dance and song numbers -- they were all so-bad!
With the news that Angel Locsin is back in the country and might give an interview with the Buzz (which is true, in sense) I think that celebrating GMAAC's Anniversary in Showbiz Central was GMA7's attempt to win the ratings. If I am right, then that was really a bad move for them. Spending much on Talent Fees, Set Design and etcetera while Buzz only needs to interview Angel in a confined room was something not worth doing.
I never liked nor hated Angel Locsin. But I am starting to believe that she is a loss to GMA and a gain to ABS-CBN. Kapuso Network, please don't make this mistake again. Your full-roster of brilliant and amazing artists is not worth a piece of Angel Locsin.
